Hello again,
Thank you for coming in to have a look at what I have on offer this month. And to those who have subscribed so far - thank you very much! Your support is really appreciated, and I hope I can continue to offer you inspiring and interesting content here on my Substack page.
At the end of the month, I am running my Wet-Felted Landscapes workshop again at Mrs I Crafts in Trimley St. Mary, near Felixstowe. This is an in-person, practical workshop where we will learn the process of creating a piece of Nuno Felted textiles with a landscape theme.

Last summer, I create a collection of seascape-inspired felted artworks after a family holiday on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall. I have already shared lots about that on Substack, including a look inside my Cornwall sketchbook. While making the 2D felted pieces, I also played with the idea of creating pods and recorded the process with videos on my phone. I thought it was about time I got around the sharing them here.
I have exhibited the pods a few times since and have received some interesting feedback. Several people likened them to bird houses. I thought this was a lovely idea and would like to explore that idea further. In all honesty, they were designed to be a decorative piece - much like a ceramic artwork.
I hope you enjoyed watching the short demo. The pods were lots of fun to make. I am really interested in exploring this process further, and developing more ideas for three-dimensional felt work. I’ll keep you posted with my progress.
Thank you for coming by, and I hope to see you here again soon.
